At Hulmes Court we are in a unique position of
offering our beautiful rooms at a discounted rate during winter months
to people who want longer stays. These rates are only available
from 1 April - 1 November each year.
The following prices is for Studio Room level of service where the price includes: power, use of laundry, free
wifi, all bedding and
towels, room serviced and cleaned weekly with full change of linen.
The pricing is for one of our larger ensuite rooms such as the
Victorian, Garden or Chocolate Studios.

Studio RooMore Information
My wife, little daughter and son, and I will make sure you have peace and quiet
and everyone here is respectful of other tenants privacy and
tranquility (we are upstairs). We are both university educated (in NZ
and Russia) and professional so we want to make our little studio
complex suitable for like-minded hard working educated and intelligent
individuals. At the same time you will have the privacy of your own
studio and plenty of freedom.
We don’t require
you to sign a 12-month lease and is available until the end of October.
Depending on your length of stay you get a larger discount, see the
table above.
56 Tennyson St,
3 minutes walk from the Octagon. The property has a large car park and
lovely gardens making it very private and quiet.
Includes power,
heating, in room telephone, both WiFi and networked broadband, access
to a networked colour printer/fax/scanner/photocopier up to A3. Room
comes with all linen, towels, pillows and the room is serviced weekly,
cleaned, new linen etc; off street parking is available; each room has
a fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle. Each room has its own private
ensuite bathroom (bath and shower); large study desk, Full HD TV with
RCR and Blue Ray DVD. Each room is unique: The Garden Room has a
wonderful Spa Tub that easily fits two; The Victorian Room has a
massive Bay Window and is truly grand; the Chocolate Room is the
largest Studio with a private separate lounge.
This Boutique
Studio Room complex (only three rooms) has a fully functional kitchen
with stove top, oven, kitchen sink and all the pots, pans, plates,
cups, glasses and utensils you need if you want to cook at home. You
are responsible for keeping it clean after you use it, but it gets a
full clean once a week by our staff and we will keep an eye on it to
make sure it stays lovely and tidy. In the kitchen there is an iron and
ironing board if you need it. Plus you have full use of the laundry
(washing machine and dryer or an outside line if you wish).
